Hotch say the glare, but ignored it. He knew that most police hated the FBI. They were higher then them and all so that made them feel defensive. "Ok... Do you think you could get the security video over to my techenal analyist?" He asked Leon. Reid looked over at the group of people for the first time. "What about the dogs? What have they found?" To him his voice seemed out of place. When was the last time he had spooken? He couldn't really remember.

Leon turned and stalked away, obviously disapproving, but he would get the tapes anyways. He was going to get them and give them to someone to look at, but his own arrogance made him cold to everyone else. He didn't like how Veralusina seemed to be completely at ease with them. Well, of course she wouldn't care. She was just a rookie. Amy glanced at the canines. "They caught a few scents but they were all drowned out with all the other smells," she replied quietly..

Great the dogs hadn't gotten anything... What did that leave them here. Witnesses. "Did anyone see anything?" Reid asked, though once again he was sure they woul dhave mentioned it if they had, or maybe not. Some times the wirness acounts do say anything about what happened or who it was so the police dicarded them as unimportant, even they could use them. Reid turned back to the shoe before Amy could answer. He bent down to look at it closer. He wasn't sure what he was looking for but there had to be something about this shoe that said something.
Unlike Reid, Hotch stayed focused on Amy. He knew that the genius was listening, but he also knew that he was the brightest person on the plant and that if he thought about it hard enough he would come up with something that could break the case, after all he figured out the fisher king and that one was really hard.

Amy shook her head. "At the time of the adbudtion there were more than a hundred people in each store. So far we haven't found any witnesses, but there are still many more people to interview," she replied, a kind of sigh. She was amused at Leon's anger and frustration, and found it funny that someone hadn't said something about him yet. Pretty soon Leon WAS going to say something that could start off a large argument, because his rank was more important than any case, which was why she despised him...

Hotch had watched Leon, and knew that in the future Leon was going to break and start yelling and he was sure it would be with him, and then he was going to have to straighten him out. It was a good thing that he was now gone. Then he noticed Reid, staring at the shoe. What could he see in it?

Reid finally had it. "Why did Jamie's shoe fall off?" He asked and continued on to answer it, moving for the first time in a long time. "It would have taken a large struggle to nock his shoe off, and if there had been on then there would be a dozen people lined up to tell us what they say, but yet we don't have one witness. Then there's the fact that the laces are untied. It would have been hard for it to come untied like that. I'm thinking that the abducter took it off. Its a sign."

Momi Whitner flashed her badge to the men who tried to stop her as she made her way through a side door to the mall. She tucked it back into the left breast pocket of her blazer. She had come in this way, because it was most likely through one of these side doors that the child had been taken. She took even, deliberate steps, until she heard the voice of one of the BAU agents. She leaned over the railing on the floor above where they stood, contemplating a shoe. "Or the child was in the process of tieing it, someone came up from behind, when he wasn't looking, and would be too shocked to struggle."
Momi made her way down the stairs connected to the balcony-esque setting the mall had set up, and pulled out her badge once again. "Momi Whitner, CAC." She purposefully left off referring to herself as an agent, even though she was one of the few members of the CAC department who was actually from the FBI. When she made it to the floor below, she stood over the shoe with her head tilted, thoughts of what it would mean if it were a sign after all running through her head. "You should find out whether the boy could tie his own shoes yet."

Great CAC was all Reid could think. Those were the people that worked with the children crimes and they themselves were pretty messed up, but then what did that say about the BAU. Another thing was that many of them thought that they were smarter then most other people because they were specailists so when they came into a homicide case or something in thier ball park their always seemed to be some sort of stand off on who knows the most about thw case and which one it is more like, CAC or BAU. Reid pushed that assigned, though. She had made a good point. "I'll call Emily and tell her to ask." He said knowing Hotch would deal with the introduces, all he wanted to do was solve this case. He looked at the shoe one last time, even though the picture was already sketched in his mind then he turned and walked off a few feet to talk on the phone.

Hotch looked at the female. It was always a hard job to work in the CAC, he himselve having a son could never do it. "SSA Hotchner, and that was Dr. Reid, BAU. The rest of out team is with the parents." He siad straight forward.

Momi nodded when Hotchner introduced himself, and Reid, and informed her that the rest of his team was with the family. She would have prefered to talk to the family herself, but there were already enough people around them. "I guess this means I'll be working with you two. Too many new faces being introduced to the family at a time like this one only increases the amount of stress on them."
She paused and looked back at the shoe on the ground before turning back to Hotchner. She had a habit of pushing the limit on cases, but this was the first time she had ever worked with the BAU, and she did not want to push too much. "Is there anything else I need to be filled in on?"
